Best time to visit the Brahmatal Trek
Brahmatal is an all-over-the-year journey that can be done throughout the year, and tourists choose this journey mainly during the months of winter and early summer seasons. Being a perfect winter season Himalayan journey, tourists prefer to go to this place in January and February. The area experiences snowfall during the winter season, which gets an accurate sheet of ice all over. Day 01: Rishikesh or Kathgodam to Lohajung

- Drive: 230 km (10 hrs drive) from Kathgodam Bhimtal via Kausani, Almora, Gwaldam and Dewal. Kathgodam to Lohajung
- Drive: 260 km (10 hours drive) from Rishikesh to Rishikesh, Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Karnprayag, Tharali, and Dewal.
- Pickup Time: Exact 06:00 AM at Rishikesh Bus Station or Kathgodam Railway Station.
Day 02: Lohajung to Gujrani Campsite
- Height 9,875 ft.

- Trek: Approximately 6 km trek through village and forest.
- Lunch: At the camp.
Day 03: From the Gujrani Campsite to Telandi to the Lake Bekaltal
- Altitude 10,500 ft.
- Stay Tents.
- Trek: The up to 7 km trek begins with an initial steep climb for an hour, which opens into a lush meadow from where a slow descent to Brahmatal begins
- Lunch: At the camp.
Day 04: Telandi to Brahmatal Lak
- Altitude 12,100 ft.

- Trek: Upto 8 km total trek which usually takes around 7-8 hours to reach the summit and can come back.
- Lunch: Hot lunch.
Day 05: Telandi to Lohajung by Dumdum
- Height 7,611 ft.
- Stay Guest House or Hotel.
- Trek: A trek of approximately 9 km which usually takes around 6-7 hours.
- Lunch: Hot lunch.
Day 06: Lohajung to Rishikesh or Kathgodam
Journey’s End. After the perfect morning tea drive from Lohajung to Kathgodam.

Brahmatal Trek Difficulty

Brahmatal Trek Temperature
During the daytime, the temperature remains around 3 to 10 degrees Celsius. The nights are very freezing with the temperature dropping to -5 degrees centigrade. The Brahmatal trek is not preferable during the monsoon months in July and August due to very steep slopes and slippery terrain, making the climb very difficult and dangerous with downpours. The total elevation of the Brahmatal trek is approximately 12,600 feet. It covers a total distance of around 24 km and takes at most 6 days to complete the trek comfortably.
